WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DOES IT SUPPOSED TO DO?

Rovectin’s Clean Marine Micellar Deep Cleansing Water is the newest product of the Rovectin Clean Beauty line. It’s a micellar cleansing water that consists of sea salt to help remove impurities while keeping it moisturized with seawater and 7-layers of Hyaluronic acids.

PACKAGING

This product comes in a whopping 400ml transparent bottle with an eco-friendly label that can be easily removed. This would mean that you can simply recycle the bottle without concerning the label. The label itself is printing-free container so everything about this product is what they call “clean”.

TEXTURE AND SCENT

I love the scent of the ocean that every time I get a whiff of the ocean I go back to my childhood days where I spent all my summer vacation days at our grandma’s house! Yes, this smells like the ocean with a tinge of the mint of a sort. The texture is watery, of course, however, when applied to the skin it emulsifies!

HOW TO USE?

I use it with cotton pads, the non-reusable ones since I need to finish it before buying the reusable ones. I use this as the first step for removing makeup, such as lip tints and blush. I don’t use a base foundation and other makeup, so this blog won’t be beneficial to anyone who uses heavy makeup.

MY EXPERIENCE

First Impression. The scent of this product is taking me back to my childhood days which makes it real special to me! I love the smell of the sea so I reach to this every night after work just to take a whiff of it, although it’s not really the scent of the ocean, I think it’s really close to it!

Did it cause any breakouts? No, no breakouts at all! As mentioned frequently, I only add one new product to my routine, when needed, and wait for 2-3 weeks before I add a new product. So far, I got no breakouts from using it but I do have breakouts from stress, lifestyle, and not having to do skincare sometimes at night after work.

Does it remove makeup (lip tint and blush)? I barely use makeup these days and given the busy schedule that I have, as much as I want to test it out from using eyeliner I couldn’t get myself into it. However, it effectively removes lip tint and blush and I still follow it with a water-based cleanser.

Was it hydrating after rinsing? I really think it depends on how my skin is doing that particular day. If my skin is extra dry then after rinsing would feel a little bit tight, but if my skin is fine it does really feel hydrating, albeit, I still need to do my second cleanser after! I use a hydrating cleanser so my skin’s extra plump after double cleansing!

Would I find myself reaching out to this when it finishes? It’s a whopping 400ml and it might take a while for me to finish this, however, I will be stocking when I’m out of my first cleansers. Yeah, I still have a few first cleansers from my stash!

Would I recommend this to you? Well, first of all, I’m a lazy arse and this product has helped me go through a simple routine at night since I don’t need to do extra rinsing and massages. (LOL) I use light to no makeup every day (don’t forget your SPF). If you’re like me then I would suggest you try this one out otherwise you’ll just stick to the product type you’re currently enjoying, be it a cleansing oil or balm.

FINAL VERDICT and OVERALL RATING: I’m giving it a 4.5 out of 5 stars! Overall, it’s a beautiful product that effectively removed my light makeup and environmental impurities plus it doesn’t leave my skin tight (except the days when my skin is extra dry and irritated).
