I am a very picky person when it comes to creams. I’ve had a lot of bad lucks with moisturizers before and now that I know better it has been an amazing experience! Picking the right moisturizer I think for me is the hardest part. I never checked the full list of ingredients before and I think that’s when everything went down to the dark and gooey hole. I’m lucky enough to have known the brand SIORIS as not only they have the amazing facial mist but I also just recently found out about their night cream that consists of 5% Tamanu Oil!
According to the product description, SIORIS You Look So Young Night Cream is an evening moisturizer that contains 5% of Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, aka Tamanu Oil. This cream delivers a concentrated moisturizing power overnight leaving skin feeling soft, supple, and nourished by morning. This product contains 65% of Citrus Natsudaidai Peel Extract that is made from a seasonal fruit called Jeju Organic Citrus Fruit (Pomelo) that is harvested every summer from April to June from an organic farm in South Korea that is well-taken care of the farmers that is committed to organic farming.
Its pH level is 5.13 which is slightly acidic, it may slightly differ due to the different seasonal production times.
Packaging
All Sioris products have this very unique packaging design. All are housed in a tube bottle of the same but this bottle uses a special pump called the Airless Bottle System. This one doesn’t come with a long, straw-like nozzle but rather a nozzle-less pump to prevent air from penetrating inside enabling it to be a more hygienic and safe product (I had no idea there was such a thing too).
Texture and Scent
The texture is a smooth-cream type that’s not as fluffy or cloudy but rather a rich and thick type. It has a greenish color (I think it’s because of the Tamanu Oil). And ooh, the scent! If you never encountered a product with Tamanu Oil in it you’ll be surprised! It’s a pungent, nutty, kind of herbally or medicinal scent. But based on my experience on other products with Tamanu Oil this one has a milder scent. The scent takes time to fade away but if the scent doesn’t really matter to you then hooray to us!

Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil (5%) aka Tamanu Oil, is a green-yellowish oil that is known for its healing and regenerative properties.
Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil (5%) is a golden to yellowish oil that came from the Macadamia nut. It is known for skin nutrition and skin texture management.
BSASM PLUS (2%) – this one’s new to me and according to Lab For You USA, it’s a patented ingredient that consists of 7 natural plant extracts that provide soothing relief for irritated skin. BSAMS plus consists of:
- Centella Asiatica Extract
- Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract
- Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract
- Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
- Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract
My Experience
*Please note that this is a review before I developed fungal acne. This product consists of a lot of fungal acne triggers. Also note that this doesn’t mean that it’s a bad product, it’s just that these ingredients will feed Malassezia and we don’t like that.
I used this one right away when I got it because why not? No, I ran out of moisturizers so it was the perfect timing. I’ve been raving about it on my Instagram account too. Tidbits of this and that, I was loving it! The texture, the creamy but cushiony finish, oh yes the scent that I am now used to it, and the rich nourishing benefits. It helped calmed my skin after it had a bad reaction from using one sheet mask that did not go too well. Tamanu Oil is known for its healing properties and ever since using this one it helped calm my acne flares and it made my skin soft and supple every morning (flakiness who?). I didn’t have any bad reactions (or so I thought) but ever since I knew about my skin condition, I full-stopped using products with fungal acne triggers. It is an amazing product though, it’s just a shame I wasn’t able to fully finish one and be able to enjoy it more!
Over-all a wonderful product that I recommend for those with dry skin. It’s perfect for the winter season! Oily skin might check out the ingredients first before diving in. Sensitive skin types too, I mean you should always check the ingredients first (one thing I learned and still learning) and not buy it because it’s hyped! ^^
