WHAT IS IT AND WHAT’S IT SUPPOSED TO DO?

Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask is fortified with antioxidant Vitamin E which brightens, improves wrinkles, and prevents other signs of aging. This product is recommended to those with dry, combination, and sensitive skin. [Source: Wishtrend.com]

TEXTURE AND SCENT

It has a white pudding-like jelly texture, and has a very strong lavender scent which I don’t mind that much.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Tocopheryl Acetate – It’s the most commonly used version of pure vitamin E in cosmetics. It has a longer shelf life, however, it’s also more poorly absorbed by the skin and may not have the same awesome photo-protective effects as pure Vitamin E. [Source: INCIDecoder]

Niacinamide – Popularly known with a lot of good benefits especially for wrinkles and lightening hyperpigmentation. [Source: INCIDecoder]

Adenosine – A good anti-inflammatory ingredient, and can also repair and protect the skin barrier. [Source: INCIDecoder]

HOW TO USE?

Wishtrend recommends using it as either a sleeping mask or as a daily moisturizer. I chose the latter and I’m only using it as a morning moisturizer. It’s up to you how you like it, but I prefer using it that way.

MY EXPERIENCE

First Impression. It wasn’t a good impression at first because, personally, the texture was really odd and I didn’t really expect it to be a pudding-like texture (I may have not read about it or I just absolutely brushed that thought off my head). However, I continued using it as a daily moisturizer, although, I stopped using it a few times, I still managed to continue when I saw changes in my skin.

Texture details. As mentioned above, it was odd at first but I got used to it after a few more tries. It feels oily when you apply it to your skin and depending on the state of your skin it might sometimes feel tacky or sticky, however, my current SPF takes that feeling away, otherwise, it just feels like your usual moisturizer. It leaves that glow on your skin but not oily-glow kind of thing, and you only need a small amount to cover up your face and neck. It’s already summer in the UAE, so I make sure I don’t go over the amount I should be putting in because I don’t want to get that clogged-pore and oily feeling throughout the day!

Vitamin C + Vitamin E Mask. I wasn’t able to use this along with a Vitamin C product since I don’t have a good Vitamin C at hand, but I’ll see to it to update this area whenever I can get my hands on a nice Vitamin C product.

Any changes on skin? Yes! It definitely helps brighten up my skin, however, I couldn’t give all the credit to this product since I’m also using a Retinol product at night. Still, it helped brighten up my skin and I mean brightening up the uneven tone part of my face, not whitening. I need more time to use this to see changes about its claim on improving wrinkles and preventing other signs of aging. I, by the way, suck in taking before and after photos but I will try my best to update you on its claim on fine lines and wrinkles soon!

To whom do I recommend this product? I have a combination-to-oily and dehydrated skin, so as I stated above, I sometimes feel the product finishes off tacky, that’s when my skin is into its dehydrated state (and that’s on me, no complaints). Luckily for me, I don’t get too oily from using this product however oily skin people should do their research more. This product is recommended to those with dry and combination skin but oily skin people can use them given that they’re aware of the circumstances.

Additionally, this product did not cause any breakouts on my skin which is a plus given that I have a breakout-prone skin! 😉

FINAL VERDICT and OVERALL RATING: 4 out of 5 stars! All in all, I’m impressed with the brightening effects but I’ll have to get back on this blog regarding the improvement of fine lines and wrinkles!
