Sioris Day By Day Cleansing Gel Review

I’ve been really loving cleansing gels lately because I feel like they are more loved by my skin rather than the too foamy cleansers. I’ve explored the SIORIS line for months now and I’ve become more and more attached with their cleansing gel compare to other cleansing gels I’ve tried (except of course the brand I’m loyal with).

SIORIS Day By Day Cleansing Gel 001

The SIORIS Day By Day Cleansing Gel, as per their product description, “is a refreshing cleansing gel that softens sebum and removes dead skin cells, keeping skin moist after cleansing. This cleanser contains 56% of Citrus Natsudaidai Peel Extract from Jeju Pomelo which is organically grown and can only be seen and harvested during the hot, early summer.”

Its pH level is slightly acidic with a pH of 5.52, it may slightly differ due to the different production times.

Packaging

This one comes in a pump plastic tube which is really great in controlling the amount I need to use! It’s sturdy and it screams “quality”.

Texture and Scent

It has a jelly-type texture with a yellow to orange color. It has a citrusy scent that is not too strong nor too weak, just the right amount of scent to add as a relaxing ritual of your routine.

Pricing

They retail at $23 which is a good price for a 150ml product! This lasted me for 3 months because I rarely use cleansers in the morning (I do water-cleanse instead). They are available in Style Korean for worldwide shipping. In the UAE it should be available anytime soon at The Third Circle.

Ingredients

*Citrus Natsudaidai Peel Extract (56%), Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Houttuynia Cordata Extract (5%), Lauryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate, Aqua, Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract (2%), Xanthan Gum, Sodium Chloride, Pinus Sylvestris Leaf Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Water, Citric Acid, Polyclyeryl-10 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil (* indicates organic farming)

Key Ingredients:

Contains non-ionic surfactants (Decyl Glucoside and Lauryl Glucoside) which are derived from beets, corn, coconut, etc for mild cleansing and to retain skin moisture.

Houttuynia Cordata Extract (5%) helps clean away waste and improve the production of sebum. I once heard this from Liah Yoo’s vlogs and it’s great for acne-prone skin. This ingredient is known for a lot of benefits such as anti-inflammatory, soothing, and as a skin-hydrator. No wonder it doesn’t strip off moisture!

Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract (2%) for gentle exfoliation and impurity removal.

This also contains a lot of natural essential oils namely; Sentient Geranium Flower Oil, Orange Peel Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Balsam Amyris Peel Oil, and Chamomile Flower Oil, so you might wanna check out the ingredients first or maybe try out their minis before purchasing the bigger bottle.

My Experience

I have always been using cleansing gels when I started my Korean skincare journey. Using a foamy cleanser irritates my skin and it gives off the tight feeling which I don’t fancy at all. So I have high hopes for this cleansing gel and it did not disappoint. I love their Time is Running Out Mist and I’ve also fell in love with this product! It’s the right amount of foam-ish you need with sensitive skin. It doesn’t strip off moisture from the skin and it leaves my skin hydrated. It is very gentle and my skin doesn’t turn red after using. Since it has this citrusy scent, it gives off this relaxing and refreshing feeling at the same time.

It cleanses really well for someone who doesn’t wear heavy makeup. Though I wear sunscreen everyday, I don’t feel the need to do a double cleansing every single night but it’s always up to you if your skin needs to double cleanse or not. What works for me doesn’t always work for you. (I’ve skipped using cushion or foundation and only used it for special occasions.) So if you wear heavy makeup it is highly recommended that you do a double cleansing before you go to sleep. As much as you have a lot of time to do your makeup, give as much time to clean it off before you sleep. I bet your skin will be really happy and will be very proud of you!

PRODUCT RATING: 5/5 It’s a YAY for me! I’ve opened this up to my husband as he is also starting his skincare routine. If I’m successful that he continues, I might be able to post an update in this blog and let’s see how it feels for him too!

Hi Mitchell! Thank you for asking! I would say that they’re both worked well for me however the only difference is the texture. If you prefer gel texture then I’d rather you go try Sioris, however, if you’re okay with gooey gel texture then the MHHC it is! I would suggest trying out both so you can experience it yourself. Go for MHHC first and then the Sioris. I hope this answer helps you! I couldn’t really pick which is which, it’s just a matter of preference really. 🙂
